Hello and welcome to a brand new Cas-ual Fridays Challenge! This week it's all about a big fave of mine: square cards!!! I create lots of them, so I was very happy to see a whole challenge dedicated to square cards. So there you have it! I hope you join us and create a clean and simple square card :)
Our sponsor for this week is the fantastic Stampotique Originals. They have tons of fun designs and kindly let each of the Girl Fridays choose two of their stamps to create this week's inspiration cards. How great was that? I chose to work with this Splatter and this beautiful sentiment.
I started by inking a square pannel with Pumice Stone Distress Ink, scored two lines and stamped the sentiment between them. Second, I die cut a butterfly from cardstock and stamped the splatter with different inks on it, which created such a great effect! This versatile stamp has won a permanent place on my desk :) Finally, I die cut a few more butterflies from vellum and layered all of them with the stamped one on top. It has a lot of dimension in real life!
I hope you can join us this week! Please, visit the CAS-ual Fridays blog for complete details on the challenge and to see all the gorgeous inspiration cards created by the team. And don't forget there's an extra daily dose of inspiration in the CAS-ual Fridays Facebook page.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!
Cardstock: Canson; Stamps: Stampotique; Ink: assorted from PTI and Memento, Pumice Stone Distress Ink; Die: (butterfly) PTI.

Very pretty card. Love the background colour it looks like real granite. Striking against the yellow too.
Great fun to play along today. Gez

Ooh... I was just looking at Pumice Stone on ebay today, and wondering whether I wanted it... now I know! What a great card - the fragile butterfly resting against solid granite. Brilliant!
