Hi crafty friends! Yay for Fridays! We have a new challenge for you at CAS-ual Fridays and I hope you can join us with the fun theme for this week: make a clean and simple project that includes banners or flags. There will be a fantastic prize for the winner!!!
Lately I've seen adorable banners everywhere! From stamps to dies, scrapbooking embellishments, patterned papers... you name it :) However, I decided to make my own banners with a solid piece of red rubber that I notched at both ends. I plan to make a little tutorial about it next week, so stay tuned!
For my card, I started using a doily die to impress one of the corners (it shows way better in the detail shot!). The vase was die cut from patterned paper and chipboard. Once I adhered the two layers, I heat embossed a crackled background on the vase with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I masked it to stamp one word on each little flag. Finally, I added the ribbon strip to balance the whole card.
Now go check the challenge blog to see all the awesome inspiration the rest of the Girl Fridays have for you there, and don't forget to visit our Facebook page for yet more daily gorgeous creations!
Thanks so much for visiting, have a lovely weekend :)
