Hello, my crafty friends! And as the title of this post says, Happy World Card Making Day! I'm joining the festivities one day late because we were out of town for a couple of days visiting my "baby" brother.
Why did I chose to make a Thankful card for today? Well, I guess I have a lot of things to be thankful for related to this hobby we share: from discovering that apparently there is a creative girl in me (who would have said???, to the amazing friends I've met from all over the world, and everything in between. I'm thankful for Ana (as is my son Rodrigo for her son Leo) and Alicia, for Yuki and Virginia, for Michele,and all the CAS-ual Fridays gang, for Karolyn, Susan, Amy... well, the list is endless :)
So, without further ado, here's my 2012 World Card Making Day contribution (oh, yeah, I'm thankful for pretty supplies and fabulous tools too. This is my first card using my brand new Silhouette Cameo!).
The card started with the "Thankful" word die cut from patterned paper with the Cameo. Next came the stamped sentiment. Finally I die cut and stamped the leaf twice, stamped inside the leaf with another ink color (and a stamp from the same set that miraculously was a perfect match!) and finished everything with a rhinestone.
I'm entering this card in the current Cameo Spotlight Challenge (#5). I love to be able to finally join all the fun that's going on there :D
