Hello everyone and Happy Hannukah to my jewish friends! One of the great things about crafting is that you get to discover and learn about different traditions, holidays and celebrations. And today I was able to create a little something to celebrate a very meaningful time of the year: Hannukah.
The Girl Fridays are celebrating the Eight Happy Nights of Hannukah using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 8 Happy Nights set. The amazing Laurie and I are in charge of day 4. You can check the previous days here.
I created a card and a little gift box using a pillow box die. Of course, I had to use blue, and I combined it with gold and white.
First the card: I stamped a pannel with two of the stars in the set. The sentiment was partially stamped from the big sentiment-menorah and finally I stamped the bigger star with gold ink, cut it and adhered it near the sentiment with foam tape.
Next comes the gift box. I die cut it from white cardstock and again stamped a background using the bigger star. And again I built my sentiment by partially stamping another part of the sentiment-menorah image. Last thing was adhering a die cut 8 between the sentiment lines :)
That's it from me! This is truly a versatile set and it totally covered a gap in my stamp collection. Don't forget to check the CFS Blog daily for the next 4 days because there's still a lot of Hannukah inspiration about to be showcased!
Thanks for stopping by!

What a great card and pillow box! The single popped up star is fantastic! Love how you made the pillow box with the die cut 8--very clever!
