Happy Friday, people! Thank God it arrived, it has been a crazy week around here! Ok, so time for a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge. Let's get in the Christmas spirit, shall we?
This week we want to see CAS creations that include a tree, or parts of a tree. There's a wonderful prize from our sponsor, Ellen Hutson! You can find out the details here.
Well, my choice was obvious. Oh, Christmas Tree...
I started die cutting a tree from copy paper with the Cameo and used the negative piece to mask the front of the card and blend green ink (Distress). Once I was happy with the color, I stamped the Hero Arts starry background with Versamark and brushed on gold perfect pearls. The sentiment is Ali Edwards/Technique Tuesday and the star was die cut from chipboard and wood paper. Then I just adhered both stars together for some dimension. Remember that the fixative for perfect pearls is water! Just spray some water into the air and flick the card under it so it catches the mist. This way the cardstock won't warp :)
I wish you could see how pretty is the gold shimmer in real life!
Happy weekend and thanks for visiting!
