Faux stitching

Hello! I've been loving this Hero Arts set lately. It's so cute! There are lots of things you can do with this cute little bugs, so the set is a great value one.

I made this card for Lucy's current challenge, about stitching. I used faux stitching because my sewing machine is still at the bottom of a moving box and I haven't had time for unpacking it yet. Shame on me :P

For the ladybug in the center I used the reverse stamping technique and drew the little face by hand.

I couldn't resist...

making another one layer card for Kristina's challenge. I went a bit more graphic this time, with a Hero Arts background stamp heat embossed in white and some masking to add the sentiment. I wanted to add a pop of color, so I stamped a Hero Arts little heart from another set and colored it with a Copic marker.

One layer

Good evening! So after quite some time, Kristina Werner posted a new challenge on her blog. And it's nothing other than making a one layer card!! Wich means lots of stamping = pure bliss :)

I also managed to break out a stamp set from Inkadinkadoo that I hadn't used yet and have had for some time now. It's full of different bird images, some of them really beautiful. I chose the owl because 1. It fitted the masked space and 2. it looked so cute sitting there looking into empty space!

I think I'll make one more card for the challenge, maybe with some embossing.

Color Cue

Hello! About a month ago I discovered yet another inspiring artist, Maile Belles. I just love her clean, simple and colorful style, and the amazing ways she has to use stamps in a creative way I would have never imagined!

So this weekend I visited Maile's blog and learned about this challenge in the WPlus9 Studio blog. The colors are so beautiful that I just had to play :)

My card features Hero Arts and PTI stamps, and the colors I used were PTI Melon Berry and Summer Sunrise, Versamagic Mango Madness, Colorbox Ice Blue and a dash of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the edges of the focal die.

Get Sketchy

Morning! I had this idea of a home type card playing with the idea of snails, always with their cute houses on tow, and after some playing around, last night I came out with this. I finally had a chance to play with my new PTI rick rack die. I used it with felt and it cut like butter! Just amazing!

The sketch is from the Moxie Fab World "Get Sketchy" challenge. ¡So cute!

I'm also entering this card for this month's Hero Arts challenge, as the theme is Mother's Day and Home, and for A passion for Papertrey, since the challenge is to use "material" on a card, so felt qualifies for that :)

I need more time!

Hi! I definitely need more time to create. I find so many great challenges but have so little time! So I keep hoarding supplies and bever find the time to actually use them. Yes, this is an official rant :)

Ok, so let's move on to today's card. I made it for the Hero Arts challenge, which this month is about mother's day and home. I like the result, it's a very happy card! I'm loving the aqua and pink combo lately.

The flower was colored with copics and popped with dimensional tape for some dimension. The card base is made with a DCVW paper and the Blossom Nestabilities.

Quick and simple

Hi there! I wanted to share this card I made for the weekly Card's blog challenge. It wasn't finally picked, but I wanted to show it here anyway. I think thos goes beyond clean and simple. It is quick and simple ;) But I like the final result!

I used a Hero Arts set for both the clouds and the sentiment and PTI inks in Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides. This card is great for mass producing, don't you think so?

I just discovered...

...this blog: A Passion for Papertrey. It's a great meeting point for PTI stampers from Europe and UK. I'm really glad I found it! Maybe I can find someone from Spain who will want to place shared orders to cut on shipping costs. And even some friends too. Nobody around me shares my love for stamps and paper, so it would be great to meet some close by PTI lovers :)

In A Passion for PTI they also host challenges, so here's my go for the current one: A spring themed card. I'm sorry for the crappy pic, in real life the glitter is much lighter and matches perfectly with the Spring Moss tone.

Picking up the pieces

... is not hard at all if you're a paper hoarder like me!

So I HAD to make something for the Moxie Fab World new challenge. This card is for my brother, who turned 28 last monday. Yes, I'm never on time with my cards, and that's if they ever reach the mail at all! Oh, well...

For this card I used my new Nestabilities big scalloped dies, this PTI set for the bird and the little hill and a Hero Arts sentiment. The PTI set is designed to be used with buttons but of course that's just the beggining and not a rule :) So I used some old K&Co patterned paper instead, and covered the little hill with green Sparkly Fluff for a bit of added interest. Love the result! The blue sky was created with an ink blending tool and Broken China distress ink.

I hope my brother will like it. He asked for a card "with no girly stuff" on it.
