Patterned Papered Dreams

Polka dots

Hello! Safely back in Madrid and tomorrow is back to work for me *sigh* So before landing in real life I want to share a card with quite a few polka dots on it. It was made for the current A Passion for Papertrey challenge (find it here).

Three PTI sets were used to make this card: Year of Flowers: Roses, Tin Types and Mixed Messages. The gorgeous rose and the leaves were stamped on Bo Bunny double dot paper. I also tried some scoring lines at the bottom of the kraft pannel, one of them covered with Prisma glitter. Just something a bit different ;)

Stationery Set

Hi there! Still in Malaga until tomorrow, when we're heading back to Madrid. Hold on there my beloved supplies, mommy is coming home!!! Until then, there's something I want to share. This is a little stationery set I made for this month's Hero Arts challenge (details here). It includes a notebook, a bookmark and a little card and features both Hero Arts and Papertrey stamps, along with Basic Grey paper. Here's the whole set

Hero Arts little girl

Hi everyone from the sunny Malaga! We're staying a few days at my mum's, going to the beach everyday and having a well deserved rest. I didn't bring any crafty supplies (some withdrawal symptoms are therefore starting to appear after one week). But I brought my laptop and I just found this card that I hadn't shared yet featuring Hero Arts stamps and Cosmo Cricket paper.

Vellum

Good evening! Back today with a little something for Cath's Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab World. What a beautiful image to get inspired!

No sheasells in my card though: I was inspired by the overall delicate feeling in the photo, the gold, black and white tones, the bling... Which gave me the perfect excuse for using vellum for first time ever. I bought a big sheet a couple of weeks ago and I've been wanting to play with it since.

The butterflies were stamped on clear cardstock and heat embossed with gold powder. Love the result and I'm even planning on making a bunch of them for a garland. What do you think?

Edited to add: While looking at the card pick I realised the vellum seemed like grey cardstock so just wanted to point that the swirly background was stamped and heat embossed on vellum. The sentiment was also stamped on a strip of vellum layered over a strip of white cardstock to soften it and make it pop from the bg. ;)

Happy Summer!

Hi there! Today is my last day in the office before my vacation starts. Yeeeaaahhhh!!!! So before happily heading to work I leave you with a summery card. You can also find it here in this week's Cards challenge gallery along with loads of great summer creations.

For this card I used my well loved Up Up and Away set, and inked for 1st time the Just the Ticket one. Both PTI. The sentiment was custom made with Lawn Fawn's Harold ABC's, which I can't seem to be able to put down. I always have problems with alpha stamps, but this one is super easy to use!! And because the letters are so quirky you don't need to get an exact alignment (sp?).

Hi everyone! Here I am today with a card for the current Embellish Magazine challenge. Birds and this -oh how much I love this combo- colors: pink, brown and chartreuse green.

I had a lot of fun creating this card, from the fun Hero Arts bird to the custom sentiments. I just discovered this stamp company, Lawn Fawn. They make some of the cutest stamps ever!!! I love to discover new companies out there. I also used a PTI border die and impression plate. Do you notice the text impression on the brown background?

On kites

Good evening! How did your week started? Mine did fabulously with a card spotlighted at the Embellish challenge :) You can see my card here.

No challenge today, just a card I made a couple of weeks ago for a Cards blog challenge that wasn't picked. I sent a crappy pic due to the deadline though, so I decided to try to take a better one and I think I suceeded... The strip you can see at the bottom is the "negative" you get after cutting a strip (of felt in this case) with PTI's ric-rac die. The cloud was die cut from felt too.

Just because

Good morning! Before I head off to work here's the second card I made for the WPlus9 Color Cue. This one is quite different from the other one. It always surprises me the very different styles and results one can achieve with the same color combo. And this colors go really well together!

This card is all PTI. The white card base was stamped with Background Basics Petal Power in Berry Sorbet ink. Then I cut one of the Mat Stack dies from kraft cs, stamped one of the images from Tags for Spring in brown ink and used a glue pen to add glitter to the outlined flower. The pearl in the center was once again colored with a Copic marker. I love to do this and right now only buy white pearls! Oops, almost forgot about the sentiment. It's from Mixed Messages and was stamped in Fresh Snow.
