On squares...

Hello! If you visit my blog every other day, you will already know that I make a lot of squared shaped cards. I like them more, not sure why, but I find easier to design my cards that way :) Which means that the current A Passion for Papertrey challenge screams my name. I also made this card with the Moxie Fab World's Holly Jolly Greetings challenge in mind. Go check all those great submissions!

 

Not sure if you can appreciate it, but I used my scoring board to emboss a squares background. The text was stamped with PTI Bg Basics Text Style, and the sentiment is Hero Arts. I used one of PTI's  dies to cut the flower.

Happy Sunday everyone! My card for today is a happy cheery one, maybe to combat the fact that right now I have an ear infection. My gosh! It's the 1st time in my whole life that I have one. Poor babies, that suffer them a lot!

See that fantastic color combo?

It's from Dawn's #8 Color Cue Challenge. And the stamps are PTI and Lawn Fawn. I love the Just my type set, so many, many, many possibilities!! Right now I'm waiting for two new sets to arrive in the post thanks to my dear friend Yuki who ordered them for me. This and this. Can't wait!

Paper piecing

Pheww... barely made it in time for this Embellish challenge! This time it's one of my fave techniques, paper piecing and a yellow, kraft, dark green and light green color combo. Fun :)

I used PTI Vintage Picnic this time. The basket was paper pieced from a Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety paper and also from kraft cardstock. Copics for the daisies and a bit of rick rack just because it's so darn cute.

Hello from under a pile of tissue hankies! Ugly cold happening here, hi autumn!! A bit opposed to the spring-feeling card I'm sharing today :)

Tons of PTI and some Waltzingmouse on this one. Not sure if it really shows on the pic, but I impressed the card base with the PTI Linen&Canvas impression plate and then distressed/inked the edges a bit with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The cute basket is fro  PTI Vintage Picnic. I cut out the tulips and adhered them with foam tape for some added interest. The basket I used is the one with the polka dots, which I accented with a white pen.

This happens to be my second card for the current A Passion for Papertrey challenge, using punches :)

Hi there! Ready for some major paper piecing? Because that's what I made in this card: scissors, scissors, scissors (these ones, by the way), some border punching, stamping and dry embossing. Just heaven ;)

The doll design credit goes to Kristina Werner and is included in her latest Virtual Card Club. If you like paper piecing you need this VCC, it has like a zillion possibilities for dressing the doll! The kraft background was embossed with the PTI woodgrain impression plate. Another must ;) As for the papers, I combined Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg line and Basic Grey Indian Summer. Oh! And the custom sentiment was stamped with Lawn Fawn Harold's ABC.

I'm entering this card in the current A Passion for Papertrey challenge.

Happy Sunday! Sorry for my blogging absence. It's been quite a busy week here, with my little son starting elementary school, me going back to work after the summer holidays, and last night saying bye to a beloved friend from Uruguay who stayed in Spain with us for a month...

Anyway, here I am with a card. This one's for hubby. The kraft base was embossed with a PTI impression plate. The focus circle was stamped with PTI Text Style and Hero Art's Flourish bg. Love both of them! Flowers are also Hero Arts, colored with Copics and accented with Antique Linen Distress Stickles. And the letter stickers are Cosmo Cricket (so cool!).

Feel better

Good evening! Back from a long weekend out with the family. Not feeling very well, It looks like I have catched quite the cold, ugh! So a feel better card is in order. As you know, I love WPlus9 Color Cues, and their colors for this month are as always fantastic!

And here's my card

 I used some Sassafrass patterned paper to cover my card base. The center pannel was stamped with PTI's Library Ledger set and the punched circles were stamped with an image from Turning a New Leaf and then run through my Cuttlebug with the Canvas&Linen impression plate. The sentiment is from Mixed Messages.
