Patterned Papered Dreams

Happy Halloween!

To you all! In Spain it has never been a traditional celebration, but in the last years it has been becoming more and more popular, so in the last few days you could see children in their spooky costumes everywhere. Anyhow, whether it's or not a tipical celebration, out there there are Halloween stamp sets too cute not to grab them ;)

For example, this stamp set by Papertrey Ink. I cut out the sticks and the pumpkins, stamped the carved faces and colored them with Copics. Then I cut out a small PTI label die from vellum and stamped it with a sentiment from the same set. The base was created with a PTI impression plate and some sponged white ink on top. The patterned paper is Basic Grey.

Spooky!

Hi everyone! Back from Greece and what an amazing trip it was! We stayed a couple of days in Athens and the rest of the time in Crete, first in the East to visit the Cnossos minoic ruins, then at the West, in Hania, one of the most beautiful towns I've ever seen! Greek people is so nice and welcoming and the food... OMG, don't get me started on that. Lets just say that my clothes don't fit that nicely after 10 days there. And now onto the card

Is it ok to say that I love, love, love how this one turned out? Because I really do :) Sometimes, simple is just the best way. I used this PTI set for the wreath and this from Hero Arts for the sentiment and the spiders. Rick rack cut from a PTI die and patterned paper (sorry, don't remember the brand, but it's not new) finish off the card. Oh! And I used for 1st time the "rock'n rolling" technique. See the sentiment? Fun :)

Hi there! While I'm already inmerse in the pre-traveling frenzinness, I did't want to miss out this week's Tuesday Trigger from the Moxie Fab World. Gosh, look at that picture! I want to sit there in my Chanel gown!

What inspired me? Everything! The colors, the composition, the stillness of the scene...

The patterned paper I used for my background was one of the 1st ones I ever purchased. I't from Fancy Pants Office Lingo collection. Then, some PTI stamping love and paper piecing to make the chair look like the piccie one as much as possible, and that's it :)

For the weekend :) Know what? I'm starting the second half of my holidays today! We saved 15 days for october, and we will be traveling to Greece: a couple of days in Athens and a week in Crete. Yayyy!!!Today's card has quite the Fall spirit, as you can see. Some weeks ago I saw a Paper Crafts article about dry embossing techniques that included a gorgeous card from Vanessa where she had stamped over embossed cardstock. Such a cool look! Of course, I had to try it, and here's the result.

Season's Giftings (and a card!)

Hi there! Are you ready for Xmas? I sure am! So to get me started, nothing better than one of the challenges of the Moxie Fab World. Or two, to be more exact, because I have a little paper crafted gift set aaand also a card (scroll down, thanks!). Check the challenges and the great submissions here for the Season's Giftings Challenge and here for the Holly Jolly Holiday Greetings. I apologize in advance for the crappy pic, the light today was the worse ever and not even my editing software could improve things this time :/

For the gift set I played with a ton of supplies, mostly Papertrey Ink (this, this, this, this and this set, along with the bookmark and snowflakes dies) and Cosmo Cricket. I have been hoarding this adorable Jolly by Golly collection for almost a year!

And here's the card

This one is completely made of Lawn Fawn goodness (this and this set), plus a Cuttlebug embossing folder. All the elements were paper pieced from Basic Grey paper except the log and the flame, colored with Copics and then glittered.

You are just the ticket

Happy Sunday! Being homebound because of the rain has got me in a creative frenzinness. That is, when my little son lets me ;) So one of the things I created yesterday was this card for the Embellish Challenge.

I have barely used this PTI set and matching die, maybe because I relate it to a more "vintage-ish" style, which is obviously not my strength. But hey, you can use it in many other ways, like bold and bright! I also used the Linen&Canvas PTI impression plate on the card base, but I'm afraid it doesn't show very well in the photo. I used a border die to cut the (quite thick!) felt border.

Boo!

Good morning and happy saturday! Here's a card I made for the last Embellish challenge, but forgot to post, eeek! So let's share it here ayway :) The challenge was to make a card with a stamped background and the colors yellow, white and grey.

I stamped the black cardstock with one of the clouds from this PTI set. The cutie ghost and the sentiment are from this Hero Arts set.

Celebrate Autumn

Good evening! I't been a great week so far! Not only I won this lovely set in the A Passion for Papertrey challenge, but also one of my cards was featured in this Embellish challenge!

Can you say my card for today is a Fall one? :) Perfect for the current A Passion for Papertrey challenge. I used like a ton of Basic Grey Paper from the Indian Summer 6x6 paperpad and this PTI little set. The leaf is from this one.  As many of you PTI followers may know, the Fillable Frames collection includes this cute frames and sentiments, and you can purchase the coordinating die for the frame. I usually get both the die and the stamp set, but in this case I just got the stamps. Why? Because you can get perfect results by trimming the frame yourselves and then using a corner rounder. It doesn't really take longer than running the die through your machine and you can use the money for something else (maybe another die or stamp set).

Happy monday everyone (if there is such a thing...). What about a masculine card for today? I made it for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: "Not your square granny squares". So here we go. A square card with lots of squares inside (courtesy of Basic Grey's Pirus collection). Both the kilt and it's colors inspired me for this card.

The cutie-licious (hey! I made up a word!) banner is from this Lawn Fawn set, which I can't seem to put down, and the sentiment is from this PTI one.
