Warm winter wishes

Good evening and happy Sunday! Back home after a weekend shift. I'm really sorry for my bloggin absence lately, but I've been plain tired and also haven't had time and good light to take pics of my latest cards. But that doesn't mean I haven't one for today :)

This mini card was super easy, and I love it! I used this Lawn Fawn super cute set and a sentiment from this PTI one, the Jovial 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey and some mint green baker's twine from this great Etsy shop.

I'm back!

Hi everyone! After this no-voluntary blogging pause, I'm back online and of course with a card :) I made this one inspired by Elise Durenberger's color combo for the WPlus9 Color Cue #10

And the card

Tons of stamping here! I built my background with this PTI set and the cutie gingerbread guy is from this one. After cutting it I blended some Antique Linen Distress Ink on to the edges to add the cream color to my card. The sentiment is Hero Arts. And, I have to say it: this card makes me happy :D

Mini cards

Hi there! It's been a crazy, crazy week at job, so I'm super tired. Not a lot of crafting this week :( But of course, I have a card for today. Forget that, actually I have two cards for today! Two mini cards each measuring 3x3 inches.

The Cards challenge this week was making mini cards, which I love. I'm much more comfortable with smaller sizes (maybe because I'm quite petite myself, lol!). Oh, and I love square too, but if you are a regular to my blog, you already know that :)

For this card I used some Sassafrass paper from a relatively old paper pad,  a border punch and a PTI set I just got and love, love, love. It's so tiny and cute! Some Copic coloring and tiny bows complete the cards.

CACM: Nichole Heady

Hi everyone and welcome to my second Case a Card Monday! You can read about this series here. This week my CASE comes from a combo of two cards by one of my most admired designers, Papertrey Ink co-owner Nichole Heady. Look at this beauties!!

 

And here's my card

I used this stamp set by PTI  and October Afternoon paper. As you can see I still have a lot to learn about coloring with Copics ;) The glitter line was used by placing a line of Scor Tape and then pouring Prisma glitter all over it. That's a technique that I learnt from Nichole's blog too.

Happy Sunday peeps! Today's card will be traveling to my friend Leah's hands tomorrow, but I wanted to share it here before it goes in the mail. Want to see what inspired me? Lots of orange and that delicate and warm table setting...

 Yes! Another Tuesday Trigger at the Moxie Fab World. Go, play, you still have time!

I cut the card base and center pannel with my Cuttlebug. Heat embossed in white this Hero Arts stamp and added lots of Distress Ink in two shades of orange. The pumpkins are from this PTI set, stamped on a vintage book and again colored with Distress Inks. The banner is from this Lawn Fawn set that I don't seem to be able to put down. Aaand the sentiment is Hero Arts.

Place cards

Good evening! My (not really) original post title says it all :) I created this place cards for this week's challenge at the Cards Blog. Once they were made I looked at them and realized that even when I really brushed off the excess glitter... well, let's say that in my mind I saw glittery salad and glittery food. Which is fine for me, but not sure about the rest of the crew *wink*

To create the tags I used one of the mat stack dies from Papertrey Ink. Covered the front with some patterned paper from my stash. Again an oldie and again I don't know the brand, sorry! I then adhered to the top the focal pannel, built with PTI's Limitless Layers dies. The circle was stamped with a sentiment from this set and a dotted border from this one. To spell the names on the patterned paper I used Harold's Abc's from Lawn Fawn- And then, tons of Martha Stewart glitter in Smokey Quartz (so, so pretty!).

A Passion for (tags)

Good afternoon! It's a local holiday for me today and all the ironing has been done, so it's time to get crafty! So this will be a short post.

I made this holiday tags for 2 reasons: 1. I will need them this Xmas ;) 2. The A Passion for Papertrey challenge this week asks us to make anything but a card. I just love the look of the woodgrain impression plate on white. So clean and crisp! I stamped the tags with this set and layered them on one of the Limitless Layers PTI die. Ribbon, jute and some Distress Ink for the edges and voilá! Pretty tags ready for this Season.

Introducing Case a Card Monday (CACM)

Hi everyone and happy monday! Today I'm very excited to introduce a new feature/series/weekly post here on my little blog. A bit of history first: one of the first artists that wowed me and hooked me on cardmaking when I discovered the paper crafting world was Kristina Werner. To the day I still follow her work (that awesome videos!) and amaze at her talent and true gift for design. And as you may know, every week she offers us a video under the title "Make a Card Monday". So when lately I've been thinking of creating a couple of fix weekly spots, it came to my mind that I could make a "Case a Card Monday"! It will consist in creating a card inspired or "cased/lifted" (with credits, of course!) in another designer's card each monday. What do you think?

And of course, my first CACM had to be from one of Kristina's fabby creations. Here's her card (from this years Holiday Card Series that I highly recommend you to watch!).

I also used and colored (with Copics) a Hero Arts reindeer, but mine's from this set. Love the one in her card! I used too a music background stamp (mine is from Prima) and heat embossed it with clear powder. The white heat embossed sentiment is from this Hero Arts set, the paper is October Afternoon and the scalloped circle was cut from a PTI die.

Good afternoon! Just a quick post today with a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger at the Moxie Fab World. Check out all those pretty blues!

And my card, inspired by all the different shades of blue.

As soon as I received this PTI stamp set I had to ink it. I embossed it with white powder, cut it and colored with 3 different shades of Distress Ink (tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans). A Quicutz embossing folder, some navy blue baker's twine (love this Etsy shop) and a tag with a sentiment from this PTI set finish the card.
