Good morning blogland! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty christmassy with Paper Crafts Magazine Holiday Cards & More submissions call ending yesterday. That said, you can imagine the ammount of red and green cardstock scraps scattered right now around all my studio (not to mention the glitter and tiny snowflakes...). And with green and red being opposites on the color wheel, I simply had to make a card for this:
This card proves two things: 1. You can make a non-Christmas card using red and green. 2. You can make a card without stamps. Shocked? I was ;)
I used my newest border die by PTI and a Lifestyle Crafts alpha die. Cut and adhere, cut and adhere. Done.
Just in case you were wondering, I'm linking my card to this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge just for fun and to encourage everyone to give it a go. Obviously I'm not eligible to win since I've just became a Girl Friday (!!!!!!!!!) and will be debuting on the DT in May. I hope you can play along too!
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!
Supplies: Cardstock: Canson, DCWV; Dies: (star border) PTI, (alpha) Lifestyle Crafts.
Yay for this fun and vibrant card!! Love the way you used that star border die with the red fillings.

Well, aren't you just a clever girl?! A non-Christmas card in red and green, AND no stamping!! I think you've officially knocked my socks off!! Lorena, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be able to say that we are teammates on the CAS-ual Fridays team - you are the epitome of creative genius to me, so to be on the same team with you is just so amazing. I can't wait for all the fun we're going to have during the next six months!! Is it May yet?! LOL

Love what Karolyn wrote--so true! This is one uber creative and happy card! And it's funny we are on the same page--I just made a layout for my son with red and green and it's not a Christmas one! So glad that we are on the team together!
