Hi friends, happy Friday! Today we have a very, very CAS-ual Fridays challenge for you: masculine. Find all of the details here. I think most of us struggle a bit when we have to make a card for a male recipient. Well, let me tell you that our challenge sponsor for this week, Gina K., has designed one of the greatest paper pads I've ever seen for masculine cards. And it happens to be called Casual Friday. So sweet!
Gina sent one of this cool paper packs to each of the Girl Fridays and I have to say I was very impressed by que quality of the paper. The fabric-like designs are super realistic and have a glossy finish, although I was able to stamp on them without problems. Just be sure to let it dry a bit to prevent smudging, or give it a quick zap with a heat tool to set it.
Ok, so how about some inspiration? I made a masculine set of tag-notes that can be used for Father's Day, for a son or a friend who is starting on a new job or got a promotion, for a graduate's first day at work... There are lots of great occasions. The tag-note can be tied to a gift bag or tucked inside a lunch box :)
I started by die cutting the tag from both patterned paper and kraft cardstock, and adhered them together. Then I die cut the ties from coordinated patterned paper and stamped the sentiments. Two more patterned paper stripes add a little something for the inside.
That's it from me today! Don't forget to visit the rest of the Girl Fridays blogs because they all have some great masculine inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend!
