CFC59: Round and round

Hola, hola! Happy Friday! It's time for another fab challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and as always, we've got something fun for you!

Round and round means that the challenge is to create a Clean and Simple project that incorporates two circles. There's a ton of great inspiration from the team today, don't forget to check it! And the best part is that you can win a gorgeous price from one of the coolest companies out there!

The Twinery is our sponsor for this week and they were super kind sending some of their lovely twine for the Girl Fridays to create with it. I love the trendy colors I got in my sampler pack: Buttercream, Denim and Stone. And this is what I made:

 

To make the sun, I covered a piece of cardstock with double sided adhesive and die cut a circle from it. Then I simply rolled the twine until the whole shape was covered. To adhere the twine around the card edge I used Tombo Mono Multi glue (the green bottle one). It was fun to make a round card, it has been a while since I made one :)

PTI June Blog Hop

Hello friends! It's PTI Blog Hop time! This month's inspiration picture screams Summer to me, so a Happy Summer card it was.

Note: My camera lens is having problems, hence the strange "spots" in the picture. It's not a huge wrinkle in the cardstock :)

　

 

I used a square piece with a negative die cut from one of the Beautiful Butterflies dies. The piece was also embossed with two Nestabilities squares and then adhered to a card base stamped with BB:Medallions in Harvest Gold and Hawaiian Shores. The sentiment is from Wreath for All Seasons. After having assembled the whole thing, I started to think I should ahve used grey instead of black for the word "Summer". What do you think?

CFC58: Pretty in Pink

Hello and happy Friday! After all that masculine cardmaking for Father's Day, how about some feminine colors? If you feel like thinking pink, this week we've got the perfect challenge for you at CAS-ual Fridays :)

I used a Memory Box die with gradient shades of pink cardstock adhered behind, and finished with a masked Hero Arts sentiment from this set.

CFC57: Clear as day

Well, hello there! It is Friday and that means not only a big Hooray! but also a brand new CAS-ual Fridays challenge: create a Clean and Simple project that incorporates acetate or vellum.

Right, so let's move on to the inspiration.

As you can see, I incorporated vellum in the form of a window. I started by stamping the Hero Arts houndstooth pattern and then I used PTI label dies to create the window from cardstock and vellum. The sentiment was heat embossed in black. A Spanish sentiment, at last!

CFC56: The Sweet Spot

 

Hi everyone! So here we go, a new Friday and a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays! Participation in the last one was amazing, there were so many amazing cards in the gallery! I hope you'll join us this week too for our dots challenge: create a Clean and Simple project that incorporates spots and/or dots. Super easy! And look who is sponsoring us this time...

This is the first time I design with Denami's stamps and their images are too cute for words! Here's what I made:

I used a very loved polka dot patterned paper to die cut a strip of grass. The lovely peep was stamped and cut twice, and I just draw a tiny bow for the girl. I also draw the "thoughts bubble", or however you call it :)

Thinking of you

Good evening, friends! A very quick post today to share an artsy card that features coloring with a blender pen.

 

I heat embossed the gorgeous latice background from Hero Arts and then colored it with distress inks and a blender pen. Next, I fussy cut it in half to make space por the sentiment and adhered everything back again on a card base with foam tape. The pearls were colored with Copics to match the rest of the card.

CFC55: Put a bling on it!

Hello and happy, happy, happy Friday! I'm taking today off work and my mother will be staying with us for 3 days, so there are lots of fun things ahead this weekend. And talking about fun... we have a brand new challenge for you at the CAS-ual Fridays blog!

And now, meet my card in all it's blinging glory. I diecut that gorgeous skyline from black cardstock and adhered some yellow cardstock on the back. Then I applied yellow Stickles one by one to all of the teeny tiny windows you can see. I guess I'll have to re-graduate my glasses after this card ;)

 

I love how this sentiment fits in the design. I think it would be great to give it to a daughter or a friend who is moving to a big city, full of bling and lights and a grand social life that can sometimes make us forget to call back home, to write, to stay in touch. Do you know what I mean?
