Hello there! It's Friday, woohooo!!!! And we've got a brand new challenge for you at CAS-ual Fridays. the theme for this week is arrows. Create a clean and simple project with arrows. Trendy, right? :)

My card shows an untraditional use of arrows. The feather tip (is that how they are called?) in this Hero Arts arrow reminded me a bit of a wheat sprig, so I used it that way to make a thank you card. The paper I used to anchor the arrows/sprigs is from Crate Paper.

CFC106: Over the Edge

Hi friends! Welcome to a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge! This week we're going over the edge :)

I was very tempted to go for flowers and leaves, but I finally challenged myself to take a different route. I repeatedly stamped one of my favorite images from this set to make my favorite background and heat embossed a sentiment from the same set over it. For my "off the edge" element I went for a trip of glittery stars that has been sitting on my scrap file for some weeks. It was perfect for this project!

June AEI♥U Challenge

Hello there! This weekend I had a bit of "just because" stamping time, and I found this month's Avery Elle sketch challenge  by Nina to be a nice starting point :)

I have to admit that I have a hard time following sketches 100%, so I played around with it and this is what came out:

 

I used flowers and leaves from Petals & Stems, masked the left strip and also made a tag mask from Eclipse paper. For the centers of the blooms and the edges of the masked tag, I used a Versamark pen and gold Perfect Pearls. It looks really pretty in real life! Specially if you put it under the sunlight.

My card features a beautiful sentiment from this CFS set.

I heat embossed in on a journaling card die cut with the Cameo, and also spiced up a bit the suitcase with some stamped arrows. Because I wanted to keep it simple, I just mounted the finished card on to a kraft base.

And here's my card. I didn't actually put banners or flags on it. Instead, I made a banner card with the Cameo, heat embossed a few of the positive pieces that were left after cutting and adhered them back in place.
