Falling for You

Happy Sunday! I have a quick tag to share today, inspired by the gorgeous image from this week's Tuesday Trigger at the Moxie Fab World.

 

I loved the blended colors on the leaves and the organic feel of the whole pic. That woodgrain bowl and that weathered plancks on the background! Very inspiring :)

Here is what I made with the blended colors and the woodgrain as my starting point. For some reason the pic shows a completely orange background, but I promise in real life there's a lot of pink and yellow in there too!

 

I first blended a few Distress Inks on a die cut tag. Then, I die cut another tag for the front. I stamped the Hero Arts woodgrain background and part of a Kelly Purkey sentiment. I used alpha dies to die cut "you". And that heart? Yes, it's my first shy attempt to use embossing paste. Hello, Debby Hugues!

I die cut a heart from chipboard and used the negative piece as a stencil. Once the heart was dry, I smothered a bit of gold pigment ink on it.

Here's the tag against a different background. I couldn't decide which one looked best, so I'm posting both. Which one do you prefer?
