Hello everyone! Welcome to Can You Felt It? - Waffle Flower Blog Hop! Today is the 5th of the month and also the day that the design team girls get together and share some fun craft projects using our newest stamps and dies released in April. If you came from the wonderful Kim Kesti's blog, you are right on track!
We teamed up with Benzie Design and are sharing some felt projects today! I chose to use the Secret Garden felt mix.
The colors are so beautiful! And the felt is an amazing quality. You can use the code WAFFLE10 for 10% off at Benzie Design. It's valid through May 31st, 2014.
I have to confess that I had a completely different project ready for today involving bow magnets, but yesterday I came accross this cute seed packet template shared by Amber and I thought it would look adorable cut from felt. So change of plans.
I first made the seed packet from cardstock and used it as a template to trim the felt. Before assembling it (scor-tape works great for that) I die cut the biggest bow from the Bowtiful die set from the front part of the felt seed packet and adhered more scor-tape on the inside. Then, I die cut the bigger bow again from yellow felt and adhered it on the negative area.
Gosh, it sounds complicated when written down like this, but it's super easy! I finished the seed packet with the smaller bow and a wood button. Oh, and I closed it at the top with a bit of washi tape.
The packet can hold perfectly a gift card, but can also be repurposed to fit an i-Pod mini, for example.
Of course, as you saw in the first pic I had to make a matching card.
I used the positive piece I got left from die cutting the bow from the seed packet, and die cut another small one from pink felt. The heat embossed sentiment is yet another one from Bowtiful stamp set. Another wood button and some faux stitching ties everything together.
Your next stop on the hop is May Sukyong Park and I'm 100% sure she will have a jaw dropping project for you.
But before you keep hopping, don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a Waffle Flower Crafts set of your choice! If you follow my blog on Bloglovin' here you can leave a second comment and increase your chances. The winner will be announced on the Waffle Flower Blog on May 9th.
Thanks for hopping by!
This is very sweet, and i know a certain someone who would benefit from an iPod or iPad mini case! Love your creativity, and the felt is so luxurious, working so well with that precious little bow die.

Haven't tried cutting felt but it's going on my list of things to try. The bows are so cute. Great that they come in different sizes.
