Happy Sunday, friends! Today I have a video for you. A video! It's my first one and I was very, very nervous when filming it (I'm a journalist who panicks on camera. Go figure...). Anyhow, I did it.
It's a video tutorial to show you how I made this rocks using Rock my World stamp set by Waffle Flower Crafts and some selective masking. I'm not posting the finished card because I'm still waiting for the perfect sentiment, which happens to be in the Waffle Flower June release, so stay tuned for that :)
Sorry in advance for the poor quality. I used my phone to film it and I hope I can learn and improve in future videos. And now, 3, 2, 1...
Because I'm not showing the finished card (yet), I have a bonus project with the same stamp set and a sentiment from Hey Mr stamp set.
This is another of the ideas I've had sketched and waiting to come to life since Nina showed us her April stamp sets preview, and I'm so happy that it came out exactly as I planned it!
I stamped the grass using the sketchy line from the set, and the rock was stamped using the back of the biggest rock in the set (the one that says "life is beautiful"). The sentiment is a combination between the "Hope you slept like a rock" sentiment from this set and the "You are my kind of guy" sentiment from Hey Mr stamp set.
To make this custom sentiment, you just need to use masking tape to mask the parts of the sentiment you don't want to use. Then ink the stamp, remove the masking tape and done :)
Phew! That's it from me today! I hope you enjoyed the video and the extra card. Thanks for visiting!
Wonderful video/tutorial! The effect is fantastic!
