Hello, hello!!! Can you say the title for this post goes straight to the point? Ha! I promise a more poetic one for my next post ;)
I'm still having a ball playing with the June Waffle Flower Crafts release. I've made a lot of stuff. A LOT. It's hard to not write a post with at least 8 projects, because believe me, I have them :) But for today, I'm keeping it short (kinda) and sweet with a birthday card and what might be one of my favorite tags to date.
The card showcases the Surface - Tag stamp set and Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on.
I masked the center using the largest tag from Surface - Tag Die - Starter Kit as my space reference, and stamped the 3 stars from Surface - Tag stamp set and the "Happy Birthday" from the same set. Embossed in assorted happy colors and added some scattered bits of silver Stickles. I also added a strip of silver glitter using scor-tape.
For the frame I went to town die cutting the scalloped frame from Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on. I die cut it a gazillion times in the same colors I used for embossing the stars, adhered all of them in a stack and adhered the stack to the card. I think the first time I saw this technique it was on a card by JJ Bolton. So cool!
Are you in the mood for another project? Because we still have a tag! The star of the show here is the floral frame from Loved stamp set. It's combined with a sentiment from Bowtiful Adittions stamp set.
Here's how it came together: 1. Die cut the largest tag from Surface - Tag Die - Starter Kit and dry emboss it with a Spellbinders folder. 2. Stamp the floral frame from Loved on white cardstock, color/stamp and fussy cut. Adhere to tag. 3. Stamp again the frame on patterned paper. 4. Stamp the sentiment (I curved the stamps on the clear block to follow the round lines from the frame). 5. Fussy cut the frame and adhere with foam tape over the first frame. Done!
Ok, so what about a giveaway? Yeah, I thought so. I am giving away a brand new Loved stamp set! Isn't it super pretty?
