Hi everyone! I'm back and finally catching up with the gorgeous Waffle Flower Crafts August release! It's been a torture having the stamps with me during our whole trip and not being able to stamp, but now we're back home and the torture is over ;)
So yesterday I was looking at A Homemade Christmas stamp set and kept finding something familiar in the shape of the Christmas tree. And suddenly *lightbulb moment* it came to me that it had the shape of Halloween candy corn! Look!
First, I made a starry background using assorted stars from the set and then it was time to have fun transforming the tree into candy corn. It was easy peasy. Just stamped the tree three times in yellow, three times in orange and three times in white (white embossing powder heat embossed on black cardstock). Then, I fussy cut the trees and assembled the layers back like candy corn sweets.
I stamped and heat embossed a custom sentiment using Be My Guest stamp set. It's SO easy to align! And you can't beat a cute alphabet set. Such a must have. Oh, and talking about must haves, I just got the Ranger Super Fine Detail embossing powder in white and my, oh my! It picks even the tinier details. Just amazing.
Before leaving, I also want to share a super easy tag with a more conventional use of the tree. The stars and sentiment are from Starry Night stamp set and the tag was die cut from Surface - Tag Die - Starter Kit.
That's it from me today, thanks for visiting and have a fab week!
The candy corn is genius! LOVE!!!
