Hi everyone! Hope your week is going great so far. Today I have two ideas to share with Waffle Flower Crafts and both show unconventional uses for the Calendar stamp set. You can make lots of things with this set besides of calendars!
In this card, I played with sentiments from Bowtiful and Bowtiful Additions stamp sets, and the tiny stars and "remember" come from Planner: Stay Focused stamp set.
I started stamping the calendar base and colored it with copics. Then, I used post it notes to mask the center of the calendar and blended distress inks. Once I was happy with the blending, I stamped the sentiment and the stars, which I colored with a white gel pen.
As a final touch, I scored a double frame for the calendar and threw in a couple enamel dots for good measure :)
I also used the Calendar main image to make a masculine gift tag.
Here, I stamped and clear heat embossed the image on kraft cardstock and sponged distress ink on the outside. On the inside, I used a sentiment and stars from Surface - Tag stamp set. The stars were heat embossed in white, and also stamped with Versamark.
While I'll be using this set to make a lot of calendars to give this Christmas, I wanted you to see there are many different uses for it besides making adorable itty bitty calendars :)
Oh, one more thing. Have you heard about the new Waffle Flower Crafts Holiday Gift Sets? You can check them here and here.
They make an awesome gift for a crafty friend or four yourself, and they're chocking full of stamps and dies perfect to get you started in gift wrapping and die cutting! Nina explained everything about the sets in this post.
