Hi and welcome to Joy's Life Design Team Thursday! I have some summer yummyness ready for you today (and yes, I totally made up that word!). Meet Yummy Puns stamp set here. Lots of punny sentiments for all the gourmet stampers out there ;)

For this card I made my own custom ice cream. I started with kraft cardstock, embossed it with a Sizzix folder, cut it and sponged some distress ink. For the top (sorry, not sure how you call that in English!) I die cut an oval from patterned paper, trimmed it and made the scalloped border with my trusty decorative scissors. Add some baker's twine and voilá! A summer ice cream ready for the birthday boy or girl :D

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Hola hola! Welcome to the newest Joy's Life Design Team Thursday! Today I have a tomato-ish card for you that uses the Yummy Puns stamp set. This stamps are super fun and perfect not only for cards but for little treats too! You can see them all here. I have a few fun projects in mind with this set, but today let's get to the card :)

I have been hoarding this Cosmo Cricket chipboard tomato for almost a year! But when I saw the "Let's ketchup" sentiment in the set I knew it was perfect for this little red guy. I started with a white base were I stamped the text in green. Then I cut some patterned paper to size, traced and cut a square window and adhered the pannel to the front of the card. Next thing was cutting a scalloped border and stamping the sentiment with chalk ink. The card is finished with 3 metallic accents that I painted green with a Copic Marker.

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Hello and welcome to another Joy's Life DT THursday! This week it's everything about mothers :) In Spain we celebrated last Sunday,  but in America they celebrate this week's. So here's to the mother's in our life!

I used a sentiment from Joy's Life You're so Punny stamp set. You can find it here, it's super versatile! And what about a  little trick? Even if you don't have a specific mother sentiment, letter stickers (or your own pretty handwriting!) will customize every project. An alpha stamp set can help too, but for this card I went for the stickers. Also, I wanted to add some texture to the "wall" where the frame is supposed to be hanging, so I embossed my cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder. Some yummy baker's twine finishes up the card.

Hello and welcome to Joy's Life Design Team Thursday! Today I'm bringing you a gift tag that uses Joy's Wild Life stamp set. This set is chocking full of cutie patootie and fun sentiments in the most whimsical fonts. You can find and purchase it here.

So now on to the tag. I die cut the shape from kraft cardstock and embossed just the top half of it. Then I added a bit of blue shading using Distress Ink. The birdies were stamped and paper pieced from a Pink Paislee paper. Using small stamps for paper piecing is a great way to use your scraps :) The sentiment from Wild Life was stamped with Colorbox chalk ink. Some baker's twine, jute string and a small button finish it off. Ready to tie on a gift bag!

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Hi everyone and welcome to my 1st ever Design Team Thursday with Joy's Life! This week it's all about love, and the You're So Punny stamp set has the perfect sentiment for this card. You can check out the whole set here.

I went clean, simple and very bright with this card. First, I used a mug and a tiny heart dies to cut the shapes from felt and adhered them to the card. The glitter strip was made with double sided tape: just adhere the tape in a straight line, peel the backing, pour the glitter and you're good to go! To finish the card I stamped that cutie sentiment with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.

Some great news

Hello everyone! Today I bring you some great news. I'll be joining Joy's Life Design Team for the May-July term.
