Stamp-a-faire (takes 5, 6 & 7)

Hello! Here I come again with my last 3 Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-Faire projects. This time I tried Tie-Dye Techniques, the Card Set and the Homemade Embellishments challenges.

 

 

Here's my card using the marbleized technique with the last of my husband's shaving cream and Block Alphabet dies. Someone is going to get a bit mad when he find's out he can't shave today ;)

 

　

　

 Next comes the Card Set challegne, inspired by Danielle Flanders use of the Half & Half dies to make mini cards. My color combo is Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy and Summer Sunrise + a pop of grey. I used Modern Wood Mats to stamp the lower portion of the card and the big "you" and companion sentiments from All About You. The tiny hearts were cut from the Tiny Tags die and then I used one of the images from the Happy Hexagons mini set to stamp a polka dot pattern on them.

 

I also made a coordinating wrap with stamps and ribbon.

 

This is the back of the wrap, with some die cut and stamped hearts (these are Memory Box).

　And finally, the Homemade Embellishments challenge. In this case I worked with Jess Witty's design. I love everything this woman does :)

 

Again, the transparency was stamped with an outline hexagon from Happy Hexagons stamped to build a modern pattern. The sentiment is from one of the Think Big Favorites sets.

Stamp-a-faire (takes 2, 3 & 4)

Good morning and hello again! Back with some more Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire things I created between last night and this morning.

First there is this card for the Limited Supplies challenge. Hawaiian Shores + Harvest Gold ink, the oldie but goodie Garden of Life and some Palette glitter.

 

And now, the Ribbon Techniques challenge. I wanted to try more than one, so I made two tags following Erin Lincoln and Betsy Veldman's tutorials.

 

For the first one I used the positive of the die cut instead of the negative. The balloon is from Up, up & Away, the sentiment (I partially inked one of the bigger sentiments than included the word sunshine) and sun rays are from Hello Sunshine.

In the second one I started by die cutting and debossing the tag. The leaves are from All About You and the sentiment is from Lovely leaves and was stamped on a strip cut from one of the Movers&Shakers Spinner dies.

So three challenges down and still a few to go. Back to the crafty cave! :)

Stamp-a-faire (take 1)

Hello there! Just catching up with the Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire event :) It's always nice to play along with fellow crafters, even if I'm on the other side of the world! I'm not sure if I'll be able to post more cards today because I'm already running out of natural light here, but I'll post the rest tomorrow.

 

This is the first of today's make and takes, based on a design by Nichole Heady. I made some changes and also addapted it to the supplies I have. First I masked a rectangle and stamped the blooms from Beautiful Blooms II (layered and stamped in gradient pinks) and a leaves cluster from Turning a New Leaf. The sentiment is from Modern Wood Mats. I adhered the vellum strip on it's sides and then layered a die cut rectangle frame on top.

PTI June Blog Hop

Hello friends! It's PTI Blog Hop time! This month's inspiration picture screams Summer to me, so a Happy Summer card it was.

Note: My camera lens is having problems, hence the strange "spots" in the picture. It's not a huge wrinkle in the cardstock :)

　

 

I used a square piece with a negative die cut from one of the Beautiful Butterflies dies. The piece was also embossed with two Nestabilities squares and then adhered to a card base stamped with BB:Medallions in Harvest Gold and Hawaiian Shores. The sentiment is from Wreath for All Seasons. After having assembled the whole thing, I started to think I should ahve used grey instead of black for the word "Summer". What do you think?

PTI Blog Hop

Good morning! Today I'm joining the PTI Blog Hop. I love the inspiration pic, it really offers a zillion creative possibilities! And that fabrics are very pretty too :)

 As you can see, my inspiration came from the stripes and the damask pieces. I used Distressed Stripes and Giga Guide Lines, and topped it with three tiny clear rhinestones. The sentiment is from Lovely Leaves.

CAS-ual Lights :)

Good evening! Quickly checking in to share a little something for this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge. I based my card on this sketch:

And my take, with a bit of masking and die cutting involved. Also, see the lamp bases? I don't own the stamp set that matches the dies, just the companion sentiments, so I die cut them from fun foam and made my own foamy stamps. Works great with defined die cut shapes! Doilies, hearts, flowers... I learnt the technique a while ago from a PTI Make it Monday video by Heather Nichols you can find here.

Good morning! I hope you had a great Easter weekend. We spent two days at my inlaw's house in the country and it snowed like crazy! Welcome, Spring ;)

Know what? If I ever get a baby boy gift again, I would like it to look like this one.

Isn't this Tuesday Trigger gorgeous? I was inspired by the blue gingham and the white embossing, which I incorporated to my card by debossing the buttons with a woodgrain plate. I decided to make a baby card because this picture screams baby boy to me, not sure why :)

Trigger time

Good afternoon! And happy Palm Sunday for those of you who celebrate Easter! In Spain this day is called Domingo de Ramos and little kids are given beautifully shaped palm branches after attending Sunday's church service. It's a dear tradition :)

Ok, let's get to bussiness! I think I may have mentioned before that I love Orla Kiely's designs and patterns. So when I saw this week's Tuesday Trigger at the Moxie Fab World I jumped right in!

The image was so inspiring that I made two very different mini cards, but still I think they're perfect for giving away together.

Can you notice I used the kissing technique on the tiny green butterfly? It's a bit hard to see in the pic but very cool in real life :) This card was inspired by the multi-colored stems tin (burlap and colors) and the orange tin inspired the orange card, although I think this is more obvious!

PTI March Blog Hop

Happy Sunday, friends! Today I'm joining Papertrey Ink's March Blog Hop. The deet was creating something inspired in a really lovely pic you can find at Nichole's blog.

 

 

As you can see, my inspiration comes from the colors: White, Yellow and Aqua. I used this Studio Calico mask to apply yellow Distress Ink to the base (it's the first time I do this, so cool!). Then I stamped the sentiment from Daydreamer and the trail from Happy Trails. Finally, I stamped one of the images from Beautiful Butterflies on cardstock, cut it and sponged some yellow ink just on the edges. Oh, and I also dabbed some Rock Candy Distress Stickles on that pretty :)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Good afternoon! And Happy St. Patrick's Day! Although I'm Spanish, I've celebrated this day since I was very young, because I studied in an Irish school. We wore costumes, sang the school's himn, had lots of games and we remembered the Saint's story (you know, the snakes legend...). So I wanted to stop by today to celebrate with a card :)

After stamping the medallions and sentiment, I debossed the card front twice with a PTI impression plate (moving the card between passes to deboss more areas) because I wanted the pattern to be more noticeable. And I also glittered the clover edges although the camera hasn't captured it too well.

As I used an image, a pattern and a sentiment, this card fits this week's CASual Fridays challenge, so here I go!
